“Going to the Beach”

Our family lived in Michigan for several years. We moved there from California, and thought it must be pretty representative of much of the Midwest. But I’m telling you, we did not know how absolutely beautiful Michigan was until we moved away from there. This blanket — with its beach grass, little sandpiper, and distant lighthouse — is reminiscent of the delightful sand dune beaches that are all up and down the Lake Michigan side of the state.

“Going to the Beach”

This blanket has already gone to a good home.

  1. This is Beautiful – I would love to have the pattern for my daughter – she loves the beach.

    • Thank you for your comment, Katherine! I don’t have a pattern for this; I drew the elements free-hand and then made appliques from them. You’re certainly welcome to use the same idea!
