“Sweater Weather”

This blanket reminds me of my days as a schoolgirl in California. Fall was definitely sweater weather. In fact, so was winter. I mean, the sweater was usually the top layer because coat season just wasn’t that long. (I’m in the Midwest now, where the coat goes on top for way too much of the year!) To go with my sweaters when I was in elementary school, my mom sewed some circle skirts out of beautiful plaid wool for me. I loved to twirl in them and make them go all wavy around me.  Hmmm…the wool, the sewing, even living in the Midwest where both my parents grew up — it’s all coming full circle.

This blanket has already gone to a good home.
